Introduction

The contributions of herbal medicine to mankind are remarkable, owing to their rich history as well as cultural heritage. This special issue seeks to provide insights into the latest advancements in research and development in natural products from herbal medicine. It is expected that such an exploration can facilitate a better understanding and promotion of herbal medicine as a holistic and effective medical approach.

Scope and Topics

This thematic series calls for contributions discussing the research and development of natural products from herbal medicine. The suggested topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Practical guidelines for the research and development of herbal medicine
  • Innovation studies on the most important medicinal herbs or medicinal plants
  • Innovative techniques and methodologies for the research of natural products
  • Potential effects of natural products or herbal medicine on critical diseases
  • International standards and globalization of Chinese herbal medicine
