Epigenetics Communications is calling for submissions to our Collection on Technology, System Networks, and Artificial Intelligence in Epigenetics. This Collection aims to highlight the interdisciplinary nature of research in these areas by emphasizing advances in the field that span computational and biological research.

About the Collection

Epigenetic modifications, including changes in DNA methylation levels, chromatin accessibility, and histone modifications, are often associated with environmental factors and disease. Furthermore, these changes can induce the blocking or silencing of cellular signal transduction pathways, the restoration of which represents a promising therapeutic direction.

The study of epigenetic modifications represents a complex field of research where “omics” technologies with high resolution, sensitivity, and specificity can offer significant advantages. Leveraging these data, network approaches, which holistically model higher-order properties of molecular interactions, can provide novel insights into the impact of epigenetic modifications on biological systems, while artificial intelligence represents an exciting emerging field that has the potential to identify and characterize novel epigenetic modifications. 

The primary objective of this Collection is to publish research articles on the topics of Technology, System Networks, and Artificial Intelligence in Epigenetics. Moreover, it aims to highlight the interdisciplinary nature of research in these areas by emphasizing advances in the field that span computational and biological research.
